sticking to my mantra…

“i’m not going to be here next semester”…..

i’m all alone at work - two co-workers on vacation, another sick….i am the target of all hell and insanity - at work……

typical.

argh….and we have the ultimate cyborg from the future….as the head of the Golden State

i managed to get yelled at at least three times in the space of 15 minutes…..thankfully, i was able to get some help and i was able to stay detached….

i had one guy demanding help asked - “well - did you do it now?”
“no, because you’re still talking to me.”

so, i felt like i handled most of my customers fairly, and i was certainly not make exceptions for folks - not on a day like today. kinda bummed about not being able to go out for lunch, my one friend invited me out - but he said i had to meet him in front of his apartment - about a 15 minute walk away from work. i told him i’d think about it - but that it was super busy, as well….so. yeah. he called back, to confirm whether i can make it to lunch - after taking a minute to think about it - i declined - i was busy being yelled at….on top of that, i didn’t want to walk down to dwight. for some reason, i didn’t think about asking him to pick me up. during the conversation, i was under the impression that it was out of his way .

i told mark about the lunch excursion. my friend went a head and picked him up from our department building…..

uh?

mark said he asked our friend to pick him up…..

well…i still feel good about sticking around work….no telling how nutty it can get here.

still, it’s always nice to have the office to myself - lights down low….playing my music. i really despise wearing headphones - too damn short….i could bring in my studio headphones…the ones i use at kalx - but, i should be able to hear when somebody knocks on my door and rudely gets my attention….so. those get to stay home….

by the way, did you vote? shit. are californian voters stupid??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? i produced our recall updates last night at the station - and all of staff was dishearten to watch the votes go towards yes on the recall and yes on the Terminator.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Even though Arnold Schwarzenegger had to put on glasses to read the ballot, he said he had no trouble finding his own name among the 135 candidates to replace Gov. Gray Davis.

“Instead of going through two pages I just went through 10 pages and you always look for the longest name,” Schwarzenegger said as he cast his ballot with his wife, Maria Shriver, in the garage of a mansion in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood.

The voting had hardly begun Tuesday before a voter addressed him as “governor,” prompting a poll worker to bark “No electioneering!”

Asked how he felt about that title, Schwarzenegger said, “Good, sounds good.”

argh!!!!

my dad said he wanted to vote for Arnie - because I have a picture with him……no daddy no!!!! i emailed all of my family - asking them to vote no on the terminator.

subject: please don’t vote for the terminator.

my dad was just tickled by the face i interviewed the terminator, last fall - for his proposition on the after school initiative…..that’s the only reason why he wanted this guy for gov…..

moonlight and love songs…never out of date

casablanca
“You must remember this, a kiss is still a
kiss”. Your romance is Casablanca. A
classic story of love in trying times, chock
full of both cynicism and hope. You obviously
believe in true love, but you’re also
constantly aware of practicality and societal
expectations. That’s not always fun, but at
least it’s realistic. Try not to let the Nazis
get you down too much.

ah yes….curling up in bed with a good book…

raining today :( and all I want to do is curl up with a good book….

I just finished:

a wierd 1945 comedy on a guy, who seems simple minded…but he can also blow you away with his revelations.

this book rocks! if you love Stephen King: pick it up! In general, the Dark Tower Series is an amazing, life-long effort for King…some say he may not be able to finish these books before he’s dead and gone…why? Because they take so much out of him….

this is a thriller - a page turner - my guilty pleasure

my first entry for Theme Thursday: Bubbles

Theme Thursday - something new I wanted to try out….now I just have to get into the swing of posting things by Thursday!

bubbles makes everything groovy!

“Blown’ bubbles outta the window

Chewn’ bubblegum and blown’ big bubbles
Gettin’ gettin’ ridda ridda all my troubles
Watchn’ the tadpoles glubba glubba in the puddles
Soap bubbles carry my dream up high
Bubblesgum kinda keeps my heart from gettin’ heavy and cryin’ “

Bubbles - by Dressy Bessy

*** I’m sorry! I know it’s not Thursday! I’ll do better, promise!***
