Exploring the other side of the rainbow

frozen boogers….

ok - feeling much better after a decent night of rest and some yoga this morning. i also did some of my faith reading and found a great passage about the Feast of the Epiphany - following one’s own star….that sort of thing…..it was inspirational. yesterday - my brain turned to mush and i was freaked out by everything and everyone in my program…..but this morning - after yoga and my readings - I felt like I can take on the cold and Chicago. Bring it on!

mark bf is feeling pretty freaked out, all by himself in the house. i just got an im from him and feel really bad for my honey :( thankfully- he bought some kick-ass tix back to Chicago for Valentine’s Day. only $176 from SF to Chicago on ATA……I can’t wait.

I managed to navigate the EL this morning. thankfully, I found some other journalism girls with a map and well - I tagged along. ok - so they called the train “express” - but that really meant that it’s a direct line to the downtown loop….there’s nothing speedy about the stupid train :( and I was about 15 minutes late for class…..c’est la vie. it’s a learning experience. i’m also discovering the thrills of the wind chill factor and that funny thing that happens to my nose when it peeps out of my scarf - icicles form inside my nostrils! seriously, I thought I had a runny nose, but when I sniffed them up - that substance felt like icicles and it was really weird. almost as bad as breathing in water when I dive into a pool…..

trying to stay healthy - I found the gym and hopefully I can make it out there after my department meeting.
