I just got back from mass at Northwestern’s Catholic Center. The priest had a lot of energy. He had interesting way of comparing the advent season to informericals. He said “man-boob” during his homily. That was wierd. I’m still getting use to this campus parish…..in general it’s difficult for me to open up to people. Well, I hope I can find a spiritual sanctuary here, some day.

So - I’m meeting folks and I’m meeting like-minded folks - girls who are interested in staying in shape and working out. Since I’m the broadcast program - I’ll be in front of the camera next quarter - and I don’t want to look like a hefer. Plus I like keeping my energy level up through 30 minute intervals on the cardio machines. Chicago doesn’t have a no-indoor smoking law like California. So it’s been a bit difficult to adapt to eating and drinking in establishments with other smokers. Sure they have a smoking area - but smoke likes to travel - sometimes it gets in my hair and my clothing. Ewwww…..Thankfully - other folks have a similar distaste to the situtation, so it’s nice that we’ll have to grit and bear it, together.
