anyway - I had a dream that I picked up David from a military installation. I drove our old white Mazda mini-van. It was night-time
and then it was daytime. My parents were in the front and my dad was driving. Jennie and David sat in the back. Mark and I sat in the middle. We were driving back to LA from San Diego. Somehow, Mark managed to get on one knee, on the floor. It was cramped. He proposed to me and presented my jade ring from Tita Sylvia. I was so happy and I said yes. He put the ring on my finger. It was a bit deformed since I wore it so much. He got back up on the seat and we kissed. Everybody was cheering.
My parents dropped Mark, David and me at Diamond Bar High. For some reason, I still had one more class to make up. The hallways were dark. I was afraid somebody would jump us because we weren’t teenagers. Mark and I held hands. Part of the ring started twisting and I folded it inside the palm of my hand. The jade was framed with 2 diamons on the left and 2 on the right. One diamond was set backwards. So I popped it out and screwed it in correctly.
Somehow we walked by a T-Mobile store, still on campus. I told Mark it must be nice to have this go so smoothly, since I already had diamonds in a ring, he could propose with.
He said something like, don’t be still. That this was just a dream and I just want to know what it was like to be proposed to. That he had a real diamond ring in mind and that I’ll like the surprise….but I had to wait.
