and i’m parked in front of my tv for the last episode of Angel….oh the humanity! Stupid WB - why the hell did they kill this show?
It was so good and I could feel it getting better…..

we had some cool reporters visiting us - guys who gave us hope about the marketplace for new journalists…the wall street journal and the dow jones newswire. Both Medill grads and both really positive. Trust me, it was relief from two other visitors who basically told us we’re not learning anything of value here and that we’re flushing our tutition down the drain….ok i’m paraphrasing, but this is what some guys i have told us in our morning meetings before beat reporting.
the dow jones reporter was really positive….and he was a broadcast student who went on to a print job.
and i am now offically ticked off at Joss Whedon….shit…..i hate the ending.

ok…back to the reporter….he proposed to his girlfriend last fall and now they’re married. he told us they ran the Chicago Marathon together. When they hit the 4th mile, he pointed out that all their family and friends were watching them. She wanted to keep running and he told her they should say hi….afterall, her parents flew in to see her.
When they broke away from the race, his friend handed over the ring and he proposed. He said other runners broke away from the race and congratulated the couple.
That’s so sweet!
