That’s what I swallowed to drown out this horrible pit-feeling in my stomach….after Senator John Kerry conceded to President Bush…..

Sucks. It really sucks…some folks in the office dropped by my workstation to express their condolences. Yeah….it felt like I was at a funeral. I suppose the American people needed a conclusive and decisive end to the elections. I suppose it’s a good thing that Kerry didn’t draw out a re-count/lawsuit thing….that couldn’t even start for another 10 days. It just goes to show that he has Americans’ best interest at heart….I can’t say that for Bush - he fucking drew out the vote/re-count/lawsuit thing during the last elections….really quite selfish when you think about it…

Oh right…maybe you don’t have to think when you cast your votes on Election night….maybe that’s what happened. I’m sorry - but I still don’t understand how people can vote for a leader who has destroyed our reputation with the rest of the world. I’m not even counting on social security when I retire - I’m sure the current administration will find away to cut out this national retirement plan for people my age - under the guise of closing the national deficit. Or some bullshit like that.

At least Bush can’t run for another term. I can take comfort in that…..but then again…the way things are going, maybe his adminstration will pull an FDR and change the consitution law on Presidential term limits. You never know.
