can anyone see me?
need to clean-up the basement…it’s nice to have clothing inside a closet and to stop living out of a suitcase….but I need some order in my life….it feels like I don’t have any order in my life….just trying to keep up with the news in DC.
funny….I feel comfortable on the other side of the newsroom….with the global folks….by my desk…it feels like I’m in a world of my own….and folks are quite wrapped up in their ties from last quarter. and it’s tough for me to make chitchat with people I don’t know well. I’m trying. I’m making an effort…but it’s tough when folks don’t seem excited about your shoot and are ready to fall heads over heels over the other girl’s interview. c’est la vie. i’m in high school again.
it’s tough, because Mark isn’t here…..so, I’m floating around….trying to research the states I’m covering for my stations and stay sane. It’s tough to do that when I’m missing my anchor. Mark is my anchor.
talked wedding plans with my new housemates. we looked down at our engagement rings and discovered we had the same settings. She chose a round cut, while we opted for the princess cut. then we messed around with funny combinations of their last name.
I’m happy - it’s a tough town and there’s so much to learn - but I’m happy with this program and the politicans I’ve already interviewed - Obama and the new deputy majority whip from Kentucky…..I’m not sure if I would have the same oppertunities with the program at Columbia.
