Now that I know what I’m doing for a job….it feels like a vacation. Very chill and kick-back - true Cali style. I’ve been busy with the last of my CD reviews for the station and catching up on errands.

Yesterday, I packed up some tasty treats and digital distractions for my brother in Iraq. Most of my family in the LA area chipped in something. I sent an e-mail out to folks about our Balikbayan Box for David….the flat rate boxes from the Post Office made us modify the shipment into 2 mini-Balikbayan boxes.

I also have a new passenger in my Corolla.

Odd

Digitaltechnik posted this entry about an odd message to our Medill list serve:

Digitaltechnik: Journalist List Serve receives the most surprising Request:

A search firm sent out this email today (contact information of the firm left out) to a career list serve for PR and Journalism alumni of Northwestern University.

“I am looking for a media consultant to develop a plan (similar to what Martha Stewart’s spin-artists did), for a prominent Chicago CEO who is facing a federal tax evasion indictment later this week.

Wow. Yeah, I’m also on the list serve. I felt kinda weird and funny when I read the request.
