Queenkv’s Brainpickings

I woke up when I heard the power drill whining outside. Construction workers are banging around and well…there’s not much I could do about it…I’m trying to fall asleep with the aide of some Starbucks liquor and Bailey’s. I’m getting a little mellow now.

I should have expected the insomnia. I also had a cup of coffee around 7 AM…just as I was wrapping up my show. I think the caffeine is still racing through my system.

Valentine’s was low-key, but lovely. Mark and I did sushi for a Valentine’s lunch. We did something splashier this weekend - a chocolate feast at a bed and breakfast in north Topeka. Each course was made with chocolate - from the pasta to the salad to the chili chicken….and so much for chocolate being an aphrodisiac. Everything taste so rich and decadent - that we fell asleep. “A little nap…” turned into a deep and restful eight hour sleep.

I need to relax.
