Ashes to Ashes

Inside the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Sacramento. Nearly a packed house as the faithful lined up for Ash Wednesday. I’m giving up booze for Lent. Seemed like a good idea at the time. And you?

Dundler Luvin’

Happy Monday!

Heading back to the newsroom. I need something absurd to get in the mood for another work week. Can you imagine working for Michael Scott? He’s like a little boy in the body of a tiny man. Seriously.

I stumbled on this video from Jenna Fischer’s blog. She’s the Dundler crew has been forwarding it around. It put a smile on my face.

Now, back to the salt mines.

Lunch at the Ranch

Taking a break from the 5 at Harris Ranch. It’s a sprawling resort with a classy, country charm. It’s nice to be here without the Xmas crowd. So happy Tom introduced us to this place.

A Romantic Night In Pasadena

We’re doing dessert at Pop in Pasadena. I had a dessert wine flight. Also sampled handmade salted carmels covered in salt plus mint macaroons. And grooving to a wicked music mix: Felix da Housecat, Shirley Bassey and more.

Chowing Down

The weekend of eating continues at my Ninang’s house. Crab and shrimp in a coconut broth. My Ninong’s adobo. Lumpia, steak and more. I need to run a few more miles!
