Over the Yolo Causeway

I love how these clouds frame my drive home on the westbound lanes of I-80.

I just finished with my AM show and prepping for tomorrow’s show. I’ve left behind the buzz, stress, laughter and the rest of the roller coaster ride of emotions back in the newsroom.

Must Love MSG

I’m excited about Bourdain’s “Disappearing Manhattan” show. New York’s a fantastic place to eat and Bourdain knows where to go for good food, beyond the tourists’ traps.

Since it’s on during my sleepy time, I’ll probably watch the rest of it after my morning show.

We’re doing dessert at Pop in Pasadena. I had a dessert wine flight. Also sampled handmade salted carmels covered in salt plus mint macaroons. And grooving to a wicked music mix: Felix da Housecat, Shirley Bassey and more.

The weekend of eating continues at my Ninang’s house. Crab and shrimp in a coconut broth. My Ninong’s adobo. Lumpia, steak and more. I need to run a few more miles!

Big Eyes Bright Colors

Very cute Anime and cartoon products. We also found Angry Asian Girl T-shirts and purses. Sigh, if only they were cheaper.

My parents like cooking hearty breakfasts. Two versions of my favorite sausage: sweet and savory.
