Sardine Factory in Monterey

Smoked sardines at the Sardine Factory in Monterey. Tasty seafood on our anniversary

3 Years

Today, Mark and I are celebrating our 3-Year Anniversary.
Yah.
In a few hours, we’re heading down to Monterey for vacation.
Joy!

8 years ago, we went on a thrift store scavenger hunt in San Francisco. It’s cool to see how our relationship developed: from being co-workers to now, as husband and wife. Love is cool!

Daisy likes running on Shunga Trail when the leaves change color. That’s when she has more falling leaves to chase on our morning jogs. Daisy’s managed to run about 1.45 miles when we’re together.
Maybe she’ll catch-up to my 2-mile routine in California. Such a healthy puppy!

In our eyes are mirror images…

We ended up spreading out our 2 year anniversary over three days. Tasty food, good drinks, Trivia Smackdown and happy memories. We even got a card from Daisy. Then again, some people at the party said stepping inside Quark’s was one of the nerdiest things they’ve ever done in [...]

Today looks beautiful

I took advantage of another sunny day in Topeka and did my running thing on Shunga Trail this morning.
It was an action-packed weekend. We saw the Peaceful Warrior on Saturday and it was lovely to see the UC Berkeley campus filmed so beautifully. It’s a nice movie, but the brassy soundtrack got on my [...]

What was up with 2006?

It’s snowing now and we’re waiting to see if it’s cold enough to stick on the ground.
Back from my Christmas vacation to Vegas, LA and San Francisco. I felt relaxed with my break from work and my graveyard hours. I caught up with my friends in the Bay Area, traded gifts with my family and [...]

Warmer Days

I’m trying to catch up on some episodes of Six Feet Under on Bravo. I love how syndication thrives on cable television, but I’m bummed how it heavily censors HBO programming. I’ve also updated my wish list on Amazon…..it’s that giving time of the year and this list helps give folks an idea of [...]
