Lucky Birthday

Today, we wished Daisy a Happy Birthday! We sang to her and gave her a few slices of some birthday salami. Since she has a lucky b-day (8.8.08), we should probably buy some lottery tickets. We could use her dog tags to scratch off the numbers. Good times.
Today, she turns 3-years-old. That translates (roughly) to [...]

24 Hours

LAS VEGAS, NV – I’m waking up on my last day in Sin City. The Terrace Pointe Cafe at the Wynn has free wi-fi. We’re driving back to Nor Cal in a couple of hours.
At work, my co-workers complained about the civilians who chatted up their holiday plans: grilling, traveling and other ideas on how [...]

I liked this Davis Island. At the Bistro, an air vent blew out my bday candle on the creme brulee

The Last Days of Saturn

Viva my weekend.
I’m taking it easy for these last days of being 29-years-old.

Last month, we ended up in Lodi after the Stockton Asparagus Festival. An air-conditioned wine tasting at the Lodi Visitor’s Center helped revive us. The festival was fun but we were wiped out from walking through 100-degree weather and [...]

Winter Bunny

I woke up with sore, stiff joints this morning. Today, I may use my last day of my weekend to recover from jogging, yoga and skating. The exercises helps me stay sane with my graveyard shift.
It’s been about 7+ years since I tried a double salchow.

Indy’s Back

And he looks better than Rambo.
Folks at work got all hyped up about the new Indiana Jones trailer. Mark’s pretty excited about the fourth installment for the Jones adventure. I suspect I know what we’re doing for our birthdays in May.

Homesick. Again

I flew in to Kansas City a few hours ago. On the flight, I watched 2 1/2 episodes from the first season of Grey’s Anatomy. I heart this birthday present. I found catching up on prime time sitcoms is a nice way to get through the trip back to the Midwest.
We packed a lot of [...]

Put on a Happy Face

One weekend, we asked Daisy’s human leaders at Day Care about how she’s doing. Mark remembered they once said she ran the place.
We asked them what they meant by that statement. Julie, the owner, said Daisy basically likes to hover around the human leaders….and protect them from the other doggies. She’s also an ambassador to [...]

I Heart FlipVideo

Happy Memorial Day!
Well…I spent my holiday weekend hacking, wheezing, sniffling and infecting my hubby. I’m so sorry Mark! Since I celebrated my birth date with Tylenol Cold pills and a few tears, we also tried to salvage my birthday celebration on Saturday with a ball game at Kaufman Stadium. Uh. The KC Royals lost again. [...]

Recovering

I still have a wicked headache from my cold. Grrr….
I’ve been babying myself - sleeping in until 10, eating well and watching plenty of TV. Mark has been an angel; taking care of Daisy and me.
And Daisy has been Daisy.
I launched a new Project 365 blog on my birthday. Oral Fixations will have a [...]
