Today, I caught a new episode of Bourdain’s No Reservations: Tokyo. I slurped on my chicken-flavored instant ramen noodles as Anthony Bourdain ate handmade soba noodles with Chef Morimoto. One big difference, the Tokyo restaurant he was eating at has been making soba noodles since 1789. So yah. I suppose that’s a big difference.

I woke-up in Vacaville this morning. It’s wonderful to be back in California. I know it’s grey, raining and a little dreary outside…but I’m thrilled to be home.

I woke up when I heard the power drill whining outside. Construction workers are banging around and well…there’s not much I could do about it…I’m trying to fall asleep with the aide of some Starbucks liquor and Bailey’s. I’m getting a little mellow now.

It’s 1pm and I’m still in my DJ’s - I think I’ve hit a new all-time-low for being an un-employed slob. Wow. Typically, I’m up around 7 - my bladder is my alarm clock…then I’m skimming through Vogue or a book, while propped up on Mark, still sleeping. Then - by around 8:30 or so [...]

BERKELEY — Making VCD’s of my resume tapes….I’ve been at Haas since 9 AM. Mark had a performance eval….I said “Hi” to his boss…pooped from last night….celebrated Tom’s b-day at Hana Zen in SF - yummy yummy sushi….We had two different types of saki….yakitori….sashimi….yummy.
And then I threw up….a little too much sake.
