I love traveling, trying new food and hanging out with my family and friends when I’m not chasing breaking news and juggling chainsaws inside the newsroom. My new gig in California’s Capital City is a welcome change after working two years in Topeka, [...]

Last day in New York…

On our last day in New York…we drove down to the falls for lunch. I was amazed by all the sunflowers we saw. I’ve lived in Kansas for 9 months now, and I haven’t seen a lot of sunflowers. Maybe one or two popping up by a mailbox. But that’s it! In New York, we [...]

He proposed to his girlfriend on national television. They looked very happy. Here’s a press release about the event.

Daddy managed to get himself on national television. After this shot, you could kinda see my mom’s glasses and Lindy’s head. Wow, one engagement after another. [...]

Peter Jennings Passed Away

[from http://www.gotriad.com/article/view/14988/1/53/]
I just browsed the headlines on news.google.com….and read the headline: “Veteran newsreader Jennings dies”. I flipped on the news channels and found CNN had the only breaking news coverage as of 9:30 pm. I thought it was interesting that the first story I read about this event was on the BBC website.
Dead at [...]
