FREDA AND MAUDES, HUNTOON — Hooray! My brainpickings are back! I finished up transfering my site data to a new hosting service. Let there be joy on this earth. And if you can’t tell…this blog is in the middle of another re-design. The background picture is from Highway 59 – around sunset.
I’m sipping a Jones’ Blue Bubble Gum Soda at the site of my cameo on local news. It’s sunny in Topeka, with temps just kissing the 50’s.
I took my baby to Bark Park earlier. She had fun running around with the other dogs. But she growled at any pooch who tried to get near her “toy”. I tried to explain to her that the toy belonged to Bark Park and that all dogs had a right to play with the toy…but her doggie brain had problems with that concept.
Mark is in Berkeley for work. I miss him terribly. But Daisy won’t let me be lonely. Between outdoor potty breaks and cuddling in front of Top Chef, Charmed and TV news…we’re doing well. It’s nice to have someone to talk to. Plus, she’s my family now in the heartland.
Yesterday, I did yoga. At the end of class, I fell asleep in savasana. I didn’t hear them wrap up the class…and I felt a little embrassed. Still, it must mean my yoga practice is working if I get that relaxed.
I thiknk they’re trying to close up shop…time to do some grocery shopping and go home to my baby.
doggies are the best! my dogs got me through many lonely nights back when Ari used to travel tons (now he just travels occasionally). cuddly furry loving creatures. 🙂
