I’m trying to catch up on some episodes of Six Feet Under on Bravo. I love how syndication thrives on cable television, but I’m bummed how it heavily censors HBO programming. I’ve also updated my wish list on Amazon…..it’s that giving time of the year and this list helps give folks an idea of what I’m hoping to get.
I like being surprised on gifts, but I also think it’s a good idea to be straightforward with gift wishing. Back in the day, Santa knew I wanted a Cabbage Patch Doll….they used to be big, like Tickle Me Elmo and SonyPlaystation. On Christmas Day, I got a note from Santa…saying he didn’t forget about the doll and promised to deliver it in February. Fair enough. I just like knowing…
It’s 30 degrees in Topeka and I’m sipping coffee. So, I wanted to remember warmer days in San Diego. So here are more pictures from Jennie’s and Scott’s wedding.
A tasty cake! They also saved part of it to eat on their one year anniversary. It’s tradition.
Jennie took this cute shot. This is a necessary skill for couples going on vacation — knowing how to take a picture of themselves.
A beautiful Father/Daughter, Son/Mother dance — set to the music of the Beatles.
Weddings are a great place to hold a mini-family reunion. Really, any event with food and good times is a perfect oppertunity to get the family together. Someday I will attend the wedding of one of the kids in this picture. Imagine that.
I also love being here with my parents and David. Jennie once told me she was worried when I left LA to go to study at UC Berkeley. She was worried I would never go home. But…when I figured what I wanted in life, I discovered how much I needed to re-charge with a few days at home. And home for me is where my family is. Thankfully, they live on the West Coast where the temperatures manage to stay above 50 degrees. I can live and work any where in the world as long as I can go home.
A rainbow blessed the reception site. How cool is that!
