I took advantage of another sunny day in Topeka and did my running thing on Shunga Trail this morning.
It was an action-packed weekend. We saw the Peaceful Warrior on Saturday and it was lovely to see the UC Berkeley campus filmed so beautifully. It’s a nice movie, but the brassy soundtrack got on my nerves.
We did dinner at the Jumpin’ Catfish in Olathe. This place claim to have the best catfish dinner in Kansas. It’s pretty good. I’ll post pictures later.
Then we headed to Kansas City for Sonic Spectrum’s Anniversary Showcase. For a $10 cover charge, we had 4 rockin’ bands from Kansas City and Lawrence. Good times.
Last night, we saw Blades of Glory. In the credits, I recognized some skaters I used to practice with in Burbank. According to Mark and Fally, I was slightly annoying for the first part of the skating movie, when I pointed out some technical stuff they got wrong. I could not help myself. Overall, I laughed my ass off. Will Ferell is a genius.
And now…something for all those lovers out there:
Watch the very tail-end of this video and see what happens when the two sea otters loose their grip. Very cute.
