Skating champion Bowman, 40, found dead – Los Angeles Times
Two-time U.S. figure skating champion Christopher Bowman, known as “Bowman the Showman” for his crowd-pleasing skills and as “Hans Brinker From Hell” for his unruly lifestyle, was found dead at a North Hills motel Thursday afternoon.

I used to train with Bowman in Burbank. This was back when he had Frank Caroll as his main coach. He was crazy, fearless and arrogant. The ice was his stage and he made skating look easy.
He was only 40-years-old.
