And for the other absurd notion that same-sex marriage rights does not equal civil rights – that’s pure
bullshit. My marriage would have been illegal in California a few decades ago. The law of many states would have seen our marriage as an offense and they would have punished us with jail time.
In 1948, that legal fight was over civil rights for all races in 1948. Same thing is happening in 2008: a civil rights battle for people of all sexual orientations.
This picture should be a reality for anyone who wants to marry the person she loves.
