WRIGHTS CORNER, NY – Tim Horton’s coffee and breakfast sandwich for breakfast. You may have seen the billboard for this iconic Canadian donut chain during NHL playoff games. My hubby and I couldn’t believe we spotted a Tim Horton’s ad along the railing at Staples Stadium during the King’s dismal series against Chicago.
The big question on our minds : What is wrong with LA?
The next big question: Where is the closest Tim Horton’s to Southern California?
Timbits and peanut crunch donuts may be good reasons for a summer vacation in Buffalo, New York. We’re also here to see family, friends and eat way too much food.
First stop on our foodie tour: Beef on Weck at Charlie the Butcher’s Kitchen in Williamsville. Amazing bread and savory beef slices, dipped in beef au jus. NOM! Some Buffalo foodies blasted Anthony Bourdain for skipping Charlie’s on his Rust Belt episode. It was a damn shame that he skipped Charlie’s. However, I think that means I need to do a taste test with a Beef on Weck from Schwabl’s.
Mark bought Postal Service concert tickets for my birthday. Joy! One of the theme songs at our wedding was “Such Great Heights.” The band got back together for a tour. They stopped in Toronto on Tuesday.
Best concert ever!
Before the live music, I had the best bowl of ramen from Momofuku Noodle Bar. I’ve been a fan of David Chang ever since I read about his ramen education in his Momofuku cookbook. His bowl of pork belly, poached egg, long noodles and savory broth sent me to ramen heaven.
