I started doing CD reviews for the station….here’s my first one for a group from Argentina.
The English translation of Entre RÃos is “between riversâ€?. This three-person band from Argentina sounds like the Postal Service getting high on sweet Latin pop. “Ondaâ€? (which translates into: Wave) is the third album released by Entre RÃos. It takes you on a pretty tinkling trip past electro-pop sound-scapes and over dreamy vocals (by lone female band member, Isol). Soulful vocals, combined with lyrics by Sebastián and sound engineering by Gabriel – makes these tracks (in Spanish) accessible and charming for English-speaking audiences. Other bands that come to mind: Grandaddy, Stereo Total, Call and Response and toss in some Saint Etienne. All tracks are catchy, sweet, possibly addictive. (Darla Records)
I love these tracks: De Tener, Drama and Inocencias
