Here are the first of many pix we took from last week’s Star Trek Convention in Vegas. It was fun, eye-opening and well….by the time Sunday rolled around, we had our share of all things Trek.
It was neat to meet folks from all over the country who came out for the convention.
This Vulcan entered the Costume Contest on Sunday. She tried pulling her pinch on my shoulder.

The Andorian (the blue chick) and the Federation Officer also stayed in character. Very cool.

The vendor area had goodies from different Sci-Fi flix…plus autograph and photo-op’s by Sci-Fi actors. The orginal Flash Gordon had his own table.

The Convention had four captains from the series. Kate Mulgrew looks awesome for a 50-year-old actor.

She’s currently starring in “Tea at 5” at the Pasadena Playhouse. It’s about Katherine Hepburn. Mulgrew has the perfect gravel voice to do the Hepburn role. Funny thing, Mulgrew told us she didn’t like Hepburn – thought she was to arrogant and agressive. But after this play, she began to love the vulnerablity that was always under Hepburn’s strong presence – like tears spiking the corners of her eyes.
