Great news today – Discovery completed its mission and the crew is now back on Earth, safe and sound.

NASA posted the video of the shuttle’s touchdown here. I ran an ABC story about the final preps made before crew started their return flight. I kept repeating prayers in my heart for a safe landing all morning. With the other crazy stuff that’s been going on in the world, it’s nice to have this story of hope for the future…and for the day when space travel becomes a reality for all of us.
