sunglasses weather
i miss reading outside. i use to do that, when i was an undergrad….next to Moses Hall – there was this little courtyard. i’d haul over my required reading paperback books for comp lit and other writing courses….of course i’d avoid bringing out my stat books and my pre-calc books…..the whole point was enjoy the sunshine and not to rue all the wonderful outside distractions. during my junior year, i tended to be a bit lax on the whole attendance bit for my film classes. i figured i could always hit movie image and rent the films i missed. i reasoned that since it was such a warm day – i was going to fall asleep in class, anyways. so, i might as well fall asleep on the grass, next to strawberry creek…..with my dark skin, i wasn’t in much danger of sunburn from these impromptu naps. i would love to do that again, during my lunch breaks from work. but now i have to worry about getting back to my office after an hour or so. don’t want to risk lying out on the grass, all afternoon.
