Day 73 of 100 Happy Days.
My co-worker was surprised that I haven’t seen “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.” She said Wes Anderson fans love this movie.
She said I had to see it.
After my workout, I had leftover ramen for lunch.
I added shiitake and pink oyster mushrooms to this roasted pork ramen from the Chubby Noodle pop-up inside Amante.
I also added Sriracha.
I garnished the broth and noodles with chopped green onions.
Day 67 of 100 Happy Days.
“Sally is a mean girl.”
That made students in my bootcamp class laugh today.
Finally – a squats challenge set to Moby.
For my post-workout meal – treating myself to a fried egg sandwich and a hearty sautéed salad.
Day 66 of 100 Happy Days.
Playing around with my baby.
Day 63 of 100 Happy Days.
For lunch, I made Gorgonzola and Porcini Mushroom Risotto. I used a recipe by Giada De Laurentiis.
Day 60 of 100 Happy Days.
The kitchen is one of my favorite rooms in our house. I love the smell of meat and vegetables simmering on the stove.
David Rocco’s Dolce Vita helps me soothe my travel bug blues. His life and family in Florence look fabulous. Today, I made Salsiccie e Fagioli from his Spring Break episode.
I enjoy cooking with Sinatra crooning on my iPad.
Playing on Pandora Radio: “The Way You Look Tonight.”
That made me think of the last time I danced to that song with Mark. It was the last dance at a wedding reception at Mark Hopkins in San Francisco.
“…wrinkle your nose..”
I suppose we also like this song because of it’s connection to Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. I always think of it as Kira and Odo’s song.
Day 38 of 100 Happy Days.
Call me a mouse.
Nibbling on cheese makes me happy. I loved snacking on cheese slices and bread when I was a kid. I didn’t need it melted into a grilled cheese sandwich. I just wanted cheese and white bread.
Day 31 of 100 Happy Days.
I love fried egg sandwiches.
Day 27 of 100 Happy Days.
Under one of the tents at Serramonte, one worker weighed my zucchini. I paid him. Then he counted out change.
“Thank you,” I chimed.
“See you next week,” he replied.
Vendors at the Daly City Farmers Market are starting to remember me.
Our Peru trip is just around the corner. We spent April and May indulging in food and drinks. It feels like a lovely time to give my body a break with clean eating.
After my market trip, I made roasted zucchini and tomatoes with whole wheat linguini. I modified a recipe by Martha Stewart. I left out the salt, olive oil and cheese. I added chopped olives. I served it with salmon, grilled on cedar planks. My hubby left out salt and pepper on the fish. It tasted yummy!
Overall – not bad.
Mark liked it for dinner.
