Still trying to adjust to my 5-day work week.
I mixed work, family and beaches during my SoCal trip last weekend.
I visited Hermosa Beach for the first time. We beat out the popular kids (aka SoCal beach bunnies in their 20s) to take over the swings. Woot!
New York looked cold.
Cabos looked hot.
Ontario International looked like home.
My broadcast professor at
Medill introduced himself as the voice inside Tom Brokaw’s head. He explained that communicating with his anchor during a live show was critical when he was an executive producer at NBC News.
He showed me what it takes to make it in broadcast news. Now I’m following in his footsteps.
I’ve read about the snow on the Grapevine. On our LA road trip in February, it was the first time I saw snow on this stretch of I-5. Crazy.
So Cal has seasons.
Another crazy thing – watching family play Nintendo Wii. On this visit – my hubby and cousin faced off on crazy racing contests for “Rayman Raving Rabbids: TV Party.”

Just finished uploading pictures from one of my favorite holidays.
Thanksgiving combines good food plus the people I love: both family and friends. My hubby and I had a blast in So Cal.
