Hello Drakes Bay.
We enjoyed showing Suzanne and Ryan all we knew about shucking oysters. It’s not much. I hope it helped.
Dining with a view.
Earlier this month, we hit the Pacific Coast Highway for a foodie road trip. I knew my parents would love the chance to try fresh oysters from the oyster farms in the Tomales Bay.
Bay Area Bites sparked this foodie road trip. I loved the idea of slurping up oysters at the Hog Island Oyster Company. However, the picnic area was packed with families. We couldn’t find an empty table.
Luckily, I read about another blogger, Tanya, and her oyster experience at the Marshall Store. So, we spent our afternoon at these tables by the water – squeezing lemon juice on dozens of raw oysters. Yum.
I filled up on fresh oysters.
This is part of our road trip to Tomales Bay with my parents. We spent a lot of quality time in the car on the windy Highway 1.
I’ll post more pictures on this foodie road trip soon.
Now I need to work off all the calories! Here are the stats from my latest run by Alamo Creek. On Nike+Runs, I signed up for the free 10 K Training Program. It’s 12-weeks long. So far so good.
