my favorite drink….for the present….and the drink that introduced me to the yummy-ness of olives dipped in vermouth…
i got the three olives bit from angelina jolie’s character in playing it by heart – she always ordered a martini with three olives – “for nurtrional value.”
went out with Susan and Tom last night…..plenty of drinking and talking and laughing. mark and i couldn’t drive home and susan and tom offered up their living room floor, so we can spend the night….
we kept our contact lenses in shot glasses – it’s amazing how resourceful you can get when your a bit tipsy.
we hit some cool bars – started with beers at fritz in ghardelli square – the bartender gave a me glass with half beer and half head. apparently i got the drink right when the folks needed to change the keg.
martinoos had tasty martinis…..it was crowded but Susan and I agreed it was in a good way – sans the frat element that’s unfortunately, a staple at most Berkeley bars 🙁 It’s wierd, but that use to be inconsequential when we went bar hopping on our TNDC’s – Tuesday Night Drinking Clubs
and we had more beers at zeigets (hell, I don’t remember the spelling) – it was chill and relaxing. despite the fact we were not smokers, mark and i handed over our ids to a dude doing marketing for camel cigs – we got free boxes and we handed them over to susan and tom.
i’m still hobbling around on painful legs – sore from my friday hankido practice…maybe i pulled something….gosh i hope not! but i’m walking like an old woman….not the best of things when you add drinking to that mix.
