just finishing up the port we picked up from Dublin….yes…they sell Portugese port in Dublin.
And it’s good.
We saw Chicago last night at the Adelphi Theater…..totally thrilling! It was a bit hard to get into the characters since I saw the film first with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Renée Zellweger and Richard. Still entertaining – the Bob Fosse choreography was totally hip and it reminded me of the time I did “All that Jazz” for my last Spring Review exhibition in LA. My coach picked out the music and I came up with my own choreography…..I guess the music just inspires you into those moves….
It was neat to see Chicago – after living in Chicago….in London….after living in London. It was like seeing the Windy City through rose colored glasses.
I took the day off to pack….Decided to donate some clothing to Oxfam. The lady there said : “Thanks dahling.”
It freed up some weight for our luggage….we have a lot of stuff.
All That Jazz
Maurine Dallas Watkins – play
Bob Fosse and Fredd Ebb – music
C’mon babe
Why don’t we paint the town?
And all that jazz
I’m gonna rouge my knees
And roll my stockings down
And all that jazz
Start the car
I know a whoopee spot
Where the gin is cold
But the piano’s hot
It’s just a noisy hall
Where there’s a nightly brawl
And all that jazz!
Slick you hair
And wear you buckle shoes
And all that jazz
I heat that father dip
Is gonna blow the blues
and all that jazz
Hold on, hon
We’re gonna bunny hug
I bought some aspirin
Down at united drug
In case you shake apart
And want a brand new start
To do that-
Jazz.
