after a relaxing…but action-packed Saturday – skiing at Whitetail…I returned to the newsroom on Sunday.
We had a final paper and presentation due on Monday….ehhehe….we didn’t finish editing our special video until 10 minutes after the start of class on Monday morning…
Deadline people…deadline.
Anyways. Back to the newsroom. It’s quite on the weekends. I suppose a majority of groups met on Saturday to finish their projects.
Tension in the air….and a lot of stress can be traced back to weird, quirky, mean DC-area landlords.
A trashcan was kicked down the hall – scaring the print side…..
Raw sewage exploded onto a bathroom floor….
After more than five hours in the newsroom – Mark gave me a ride home. I told him about my day….
“I don’t have enough drama in my OWN life,” I told him in the parked car, before we went to dinner.
“Kris,” and Mark took my hand. I look at him. He sounded so serious.
“I’m pregnant,” he said.
I busted out laughing. It’s the most abusrd notion EVER. I laughed so hard my eyes teared up.
Ok…and I figured out, in that abusrd confession by Mark, that drama is overrated.
I have a good life.
SERIOUSLY OVERRATED!!!
Oh, I so needed that laugh. Hahah. Mark rocks. And, my dear, drama is indeed over-rated. But if you are still in the mood for it, I’ll share some of mine.
