Now that I know what I’m doing for a job….it feels like a vacation. Very chill and kick-back – true Cali style. I’ve been busy with the last of my CD reviews for the station and catching up on errands.
Yesterday, I packed up some tasty treats and digital distractions for my brother in Iraq. Most of my family in the LA area chipped in something. I sent an e-mail out to folks about our Balikbayan Box for David….the flat rate boxes from the Post Office made us modify the shipment into 2 mini-Balikbayan boxes.

I also have a new passenger in my Corolla.

This is Tare. I used to have an animated gif of this Hello Kitty character on my desktop at Haas. During the dull times at work, I watched him roll over and it made me smile.
According to his bio:
“If Tare Panda likes you he will perform a gymnastic exhibition in which the tumblers form a human tree or pyramid. But if he doesn’t like you at all he will show you his hunchback.”

Watch Tare tumble!

I met this newborn kitty at McClaines in Fullerton. The lady said his mommy left last week. She also said he’s gaining weight…so that’s good. It looked like he could fit in my cupped palms.
I’ve started up some short stories during my coffee shop visits. A little bit of real life and mixed in with some sass. I e-mailed a buddy about short story contests. We’ll see how that works out.
