We’re watching “I Love 1977” on VH1. Fantastic show. I loved Wonder Woman when it came out in syndication during the 80’s. I wanted to spin around and change into bright blue underwear with stars. I thought she had the coolest outfits. I was stupid when I was little.
For the countdown, we’re going to Manhattan for the “Little Apple” New Year Celebration. I hear it’s a good time. My boss recomended hitting a few bars to make sure we have a good time. I suppose it’s ok for folks to imagine me being a lush and not seeing me being drunk off my ass. I know the difference.
I want to write more…I do…but photo highlights will have to do for now.
I finished up my Medill studies in DC. I covered Bush’s inaugration for Illinois. Bush danced with the First Lady for about 60 seconds at the Freedom Ball. I loved covering politics in the Nation’s capital. What a rush!
After I finished my DC quarter, we drove back to California. We stayed in Topeka for a night and little did I know I’d be back for my new job.
Wow – it was fab to be able to go to the beach and stare at the Pacific. I love California.
Graduation! My family had a blast in the Windy City. My dad took lot’s of pictures and we went back to his favorite place for tapas.
Ate Gigi’s house in Vegas became our second home. In the spring, I went to the RTNDA conference for journalists. In the summer, we attended the Star Trek Convention. I love Vegas!
We did our bridal shower and engagement party in Vegas. Everyone thought the Star Trek bar was a geeky idea but they still had a good time.
We got married!!!! Folks had a good time and it was just the most beautiful/important/special day of my entire life.
We went to Mexico for our honeymoon. Ixtapa is paradise. Sometimes, when I do yoga, I try to imagine the sounds of beach and waves crashing.
And finally, the Sunflower State – my new home. It’s nice to take a break from our nomadic existence. Mark just drove a van full of our stuff from California and our apartment is feels more like home. Kansas gave me a chance to my dream job – news producer. I can’t wait to prove myself as a broadcast journalist in the Midwest.
