One weekend felt like summertime in January, so we spent a sunny Sunday in Half Moon Bay.
We visited this area about 10 years ago as part of an arty Halloween tour. It was dark outside and our tour bus pulled up into a pumpkin patch. Our band of singers, poets, dancers and fire eaters took center stage at the bonfire burning in the middle of the pumpkin patch.
I always wanted to see what Half Moon Bay looked like during the daytime.
Last month, it looked beautiful! Since we live 30 minutes way, it’s like having the Pacific ocean in our backyard.
We made friends with the locals at a hidden beach of the main highway. This spot doesn’t have a lifeguard on duty and the surfing crowd avoids the beach because of the fierce rip current off the shore.
Here, moody college kids tackle cases of beer. Families let kids run wild. Here, anything goes, including clothing.
Facebook friends, check out the sweet photo slideshow from Half Moon Bay on my blog.
