I got a kick out of watching World Cup matches in Peru. I don’t speak Spanish. However- it seemed like all the sports networks generated so much analysis, commentary and chatter on every aspect of this international game. It sounded like they talked more about these matches than what I see and hear on American football.
Also, I had my fill of drama on the pitch. It was painful to watch Germany beat Team USA. It felt bizarre to cheer on Portugal, who helped us stay in the game.
More so-called “World Cups” spotted on our trip.
Silver cups inside Museo Larco.
The museum also has this amazing collection of ancient pottery pieces.
A pint of El Duque at the Barranco Beer Company.
Peruvian hot chocolate with almond milk at Green Point in Cusco.
